James Bowen, a homeless heroin addict, overcame his addiction thanks to a stray cat he named Bob. In 2007, James found Bob injured and began caring for him, which gave his life purpose and helped him quit heroin, restoring his life. James wrote a book about his experiences with Bob, which became a bestseller and was adapted into a film titled “A Street Cat Named Bob,” featuring Bob himself. James has written several books starring Bob and now works to support the needy, homeless, and charitable causes, as well as rescuing animals from the streets.
