A spider like part of the family

There’s arachnophobia – a fear of spiders – and then there’s this. Jake Gray from Australia posted this picture of a 15cm wide Banded Huntsman Spider named Charlotte who lives with him and his family, on the Australian spider identification Facebook page:

Gray says that Charlotte moves from room to room and never bothers anyone in the home…

Gray has watched the spider grow to that size over the last year in his mother’s home.

One good thing about Charlotte is that the spider “eats all of the bugs,” according to Gray.
